This is the Seven Waters Trail just south of Wind Lake in Wisconsin. We started our ride on this trail in Burlington, Wis. but I started taking the photos on the way back heading south from Wind Lake.
The trail is crushed stone at this point. ALthough most of the trail is crushed stone there is quite a variety of surfaces and scenes from paved trails, abandoned roads, dirt trails through the woods, etc.
THe photo above is the SW Trail but at this point it is paved and as wide as a road making me think that this was a road at one time.
As you ride through Rochester, Wis. you see the tail of this fighter jet that is on display at The Bunker VFW post and bar.
We stopped for a better view and this is what we saw from the trail. There is a side road that crosses the trail a few feet ahead where you can go around and see The Bunker and their military museum from the front.
This military truck and other equipment is at The Bunker which was actually a nice side trip and break from more trails through the woods.
The equipment on display was pretty cool. KInd of like a little Korea or Viet Nam right here in good ol Wisconsin :-)
This photo shows the Full Fighter Jet from the front ~ this is the one that you see from the trail so the trail is right behind the tail of this jet.
Here's the photo tour of the Seven Waters Trail with plenty of first hand riding details. This ride was from September, 2016.
